The Lime Tree is a popular restuarant and once you´ve been there and tried the food you will understand why it´swon awards in the past. Food is excellent, service is good and although it´s not cheap - it is most definitly value for money.

There is a large wine list and the food menu changes frequently and there is also an ´early menu´ from 5.45 - 6.00pm which is certainly great value for money and offers 3 courses for 16 pounds. Although all the food is good this restuarant is well known for its Sticky Toffee Pudding - trust me, it won´t dissapoint.

(On the website you can see the current menu as well as prices)

IMAX at the PRINTWORKS

If rain strikes as it often does in the very rainy city of Manchester rather then simply going to see a film at the cinema, why not try a film at the IMAX. Unlike your average cinema screen this is massive and a wide as 3 double decker buses! The selection of films available to watch in the IMAX is limited but check on the website to see what is on, sometimes theres even 3D.

Central Library

Although a library doesn´t sound like the most exciting thing in the world, Central Library is a beautiful building both inside and out. From the outside you would be fooled into thinking it was more than a library as it is so big and grand furthermore, inside, in the main reading room upstairs the dome and decoration is very impressive and well worth seeing.

Apart from the hundreds of thousands of books on offer at the library there is also a cafe, toilets, internet acess and the library theatre with regular plays put on. Check out the webiste to see what´s on and when..

one of my favourite restaurants in madrid!! Prices are reasonable and food is delicious! The nachos with guacamole and queso are to die for! All the food is good and worth trying and a mojito to wash it all down with couldn´t be a better choice. Really great place.

Great place and soooo cheap!! It´s a nice cafe that has raciones for about 8euros and smaller tapas from as cheap as 1 euro!! There were huevos rotos for €1,50 and they were well worth the money. The prawns were also delicious! Staff were really friendly. Definitly worth checking out for a caña and some tapas and the prices will tempt you into staying for more then just the one!

Beatles Museum

This Museum all about the Beatles is well worth a visit if you want to know everything about them...from their personal lives, to how they got started, to their lives during the band right till the end.

Theres tons of pictures, articles, and replicas of important places such as the recording studio, John Lennon´s white room and the ever so famous Cavern. It is expensive to get into as far as museums go as it costs 10pounds, however if you are an oap or have a student card its about 6pounds. Although it costs alot if you are interested in the Beetles then it is worth the money. Also the Cavern replica is exactly the same so if you see this then you won´t have to go to the real thing.

Within the price there is also a hand held guide that you can stop and start about various different things. Its definilty a museum that you have to take your time over as there is a lot to take in but at the end you will feel like you know everything there is to know about The Beetles.

The Didsbury Pub

This has to be the best place in Didsbury to go for a drink or pub grup on a summers day. The pub itself is nice inside and out but it is most popular during hot weather for it´s beer garden at the front of the pub. Theres lots of benches to sit, eat, drink and relax and some parasols for those who prefer the shade.

The food is good pub food such as, sandwiches, bar snacks and larger dishes. You have to go to the bar to order (take note of your table number) and they then bring the food to your table.

Another advantage to the pub is it is right next to Fletcher Moss Park and Parsonage Gardens so perfect if you really want to take advantage of the nice weather.

Tip - on a summers day sat in the beer garden here, the perfect drink has to be a Magners

Fallowfield

Wilmslow Road (Fallowfield) M14 6AB

Manchester (United Kingdom)

If you don´t want to go all the way into the city centre then this is the area to find the next best thing. Fallowfield is the heart of the student population as there are halls of residences in the area and lots of student living nearby.

There are lots of bars including Revolution, Sofa, Glass and most offer a good selection of cocktails. Theres also numerous take aways such as Abduls, Happy Days and Subway. The Orange Grove has a good beer Garden and nearly all the bars are popular during summer.

If you want cheaper prices then the centre of Manchester and easy reach of home if you live near by or in neary by areas such as Didsbury or Withington then Fallowfield is perfect. Furthermore if you want to go for a dance Queen of Hearts and Robinski´s are best as they have music and dacefloors.

After a period of closure for the gallery is it now reopen bigger and better after being both modernised and extended. Entry is free and inside you can see a very interesting and varied collection of art including paintings, sculptures and prints.

The gallery is probably most famous for its Pre - Raphaelite paintings and British art that are both old and new so there should be something there that interests everybody, unlike some art galleries where they show more specific collections.

There is a cafe and a shop and is 5mins walk from picadilly bus station and tram stop.
